This recently constructed 8,200 square foot custom residence located in the Southern California desert was purchased as a winter retreat for a family. Multiple defects in the home’s construction were discovered upon occupancy, including leaking roofs, leaks and deformation of the metal roof fascia/gutter assembly, a leaking roof deck, improperly-installed sliding glass doors, incomplete exterior wall construction, and significant plaster cracks.  In addition, various mechanical and electrical defects were also discovered during the investigation.

The firm’s services included inspections and intrusive testing. We prepared a repair scope for the necessary repairs. We also developed presentation for mediation. Our efforts facilitated a satisfactory settlement with the Builder.
